What is Custom Hair Loss Treatment – Minoxidil / Finasteride (Men)?
Being a vasodilator, minoxidil will relax your scalp’s blood vessels for optimal circulation that feeds your hair follicles. Technically, it does not stop hair loss, but it promotes the growth of new hair, replacing the hair that is lost. Finasteride is a 5α-reductase inhibitor that prevents hair loss by stopping testosterone from being converted into dihydrotestosterone: the powerful androgenic hormone that causes damage to hair follicles in men. It is hypothesized that the simultaneous application of these two drugs results in a synergistic action and reduces their individual side-effects.
Minoxidil is a vasodilator, which means that it makes the blood vessels widen in order to create a more expansive blood flow. In turn, this may expand hair follicles that have shrunk in the presence of DHT, which can allow for improved hair density and bolstering of thinning hair. Additionally, increased blood flow at the hair roots can help with overall circulation, improving scalp health and leading to fuller hair. Another way in which minoxidil may work to treat hair loss, including hereditary hair loss, is that it is theorized to increase a specific enzyme called ATP is found within the hair follicle. This is thought to extend the anagen or growth phase of the hair growth cycles.
PLUS PERSONALIZED WITH FINASTERIDE – which promotes hair growth and prevents further hair loss in a significant proportion of men with male pattern hair loss.
